An increasing number of UK employers are worried that they will not be able to recruit enough high-skilled employees, according to an annual CBI survey.
The survey of 500 employers found 69% were concerned about not being able to find enough highly-skilled staff, compared with 55% last year.
The report showed that demand for low-skilled workers would continue to fall.
Tackling this skills gap has become a “top business priority”, said CBI deputy director general Josh Hardie.

Make sure you are employer ready. Get those extra qualifications that employers don’t want to send you on due to time, cost or missing lab days and be the very best at what you do.
Make sure you research the company before the interview and always be prepared to think outside the box. You know the role, you know the technical skills but make sure you get those EMPLOYER REQUIREMENTS nailed to land that job.
