NCS The Challenge

On Thursday this week I again had the pleasure of taking the part of a “Dragon” for NCS The Challenge.

I was accompanied on the panel by the Mayor of Tameside, Councillor Vincent Ricci and the Lady Mayor, Mrs

Julie Ricci, who loved the experience.

Again we were presented by some amazing young people delivering presentations to try and gain funding for their community challenges.

Each time I take part in one of these events my faith in the future, provided by our young people, is restored. The skills involved and the ability to think outside the box prove that we will be in safe hands.

I would urge all those who want to take part to get in touch with the NCS The Challenge team and register.

The challenges this group of young people will be taking on affect homelessness awareness, legal high abuse by young people, altering perceptions of disabilities and mental health.

Those with social media groups and pages are listed below and I would encourage you to visit them, offer your support but also see how they are thinking outside the box.

This set of young people really did think differently, with one wanting to purchase bulbs to give out and as they grow people will be reminded of MIND. One group has hands they are going to get people to use the hashtag #MyOneWish. And one group using the hashtag #Heart&Sole to promote their group called “Walk A Mile In No Shoes”.

Have a look at the page (I have listed the one I can find, so if anyone else wants to send me their pages please do so):

But well done to the all. Great experience.
