Though the use of presentations and practical exercises, you will investigate techniques used in forensic photography. Using hands on approaches you will carry out photographic investigations into a number of crime scenes.
At the end of this workshop attendees will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of advanced photographic techniques
- Successfully photograph crime scenes including items of property, prisoners, crime scenes, postmortem and motor vehicles
- Demonstrate the ability to self-assess one’s own work
On the workshop you will participate in a series of discussions regarding the principles and techniques of forensic photography. Much of the workshop will involve a simulated exercise, that will allow you to gain both theoretical and practical experience in forensic photography.
Delegates will need to supply a camera for their own use on this workshop. Any type of digital camera is suitable preferably one with manual mode or a DSLR with interchangeable lenses.
This course is suitable for forensic students, people in the police force or photography students/photographers who wish to specialise in this field.
This workshop will take place at Westholme Mossley Freemasons Hall Ltd, Stockport Rd, Mossley, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL5 0RS or another location as detailed in the joining instructions.
