MAJOR INCIDENT MANAGEMENT TRAINING for Emergency Services and other Agencies – 1 day
Target Group: Members of the organisation who may be called on to advise, assist and/or work alongside emergency services and their multi agency partners in the management of major accidents/incidents at their workplace.

Session 1. Information Assimilation
(1:1) Course Introduction.
(1:2) Organisation’s MAPP refresher. (When appropriate).
(1:3) CHALETS v METHANE the reasons for change.
(1:4) Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principals (JESIP).
(1:5) Incident Command and Control:
- Operational (Bronze)
- Tactical (Silver)
- Strategic (Gold)
(1:6) The Organisation:
- Where do we fit in?
(1:7) Emergency Incidents.
- Dynamic Risk Assessments
- Offensive, Defensive strategy.
(1:8) Interaction with multi agencies.
(1:9) Identification and communication.
Session 2. Interactive Workshops
(2:1) Multi agencies:
- Who are they?
- What do they do?
- Who’s in charge?
- What would they want from us?
(2:2) Tabletop scenarios:
- Emergency Incident management,
- Interaction and communication.
(2:3) Course summary and list preparation for Session 3
Session 3 is optional but highly recommended. It not only tests the practical ability of the organisation to support the multi agencies in the event of an emergency irrespective of its origin, but also reinforces learning, supports information retention, promotes skill levels and stimulates confidence in emergency incident management.
It is suggested, to get the most value from the training, session 3 should be undertaken at a later date. Organisations will then have time to assimilate information and consider any issues identified in the previous sessions and instigate any actions required prior to the “Test the System” workshops.
The course will be facilitated by our Training Consultants. They have a wealth of operational experience in the command and control functions and management of major emergency incidents, accidents and environmental disasters.
